Nothing can capture the essence of this band except for a live show. I've been a fan since the founding members split from Dash Rip Rock. Probably my favorite "jam" band. Even though named after the found/lead singer Dave Matthews, every musician in the group is a top player. Check out Carter Beauford on the drums. Friend of mine turned me on to Elixir strings. They have very thin poly coating that keeps oil from your fingers from soaking in and degrading the performance, tone, and duration. Few bucks extra per set, but they last more than twice as long as other strings. Sound great too!
