The weekend proved to be a lot of fun. Haley was back with her Mom for 2 days so it was just me. John and Barbara stopped by for a very quick visit on their way to Missouri to buy fireworks. Why would the travel all the way to MO? Why would they bring their van and a U-haul trailor? Because John is a fireworks fanatic and was shopping for himself and a church he does a show/display for every year. Catching up with them was great. After doing chores during the day, I decided to try a nightclub in LR called Electric Cowboy. The site described it as having several areas for country, dance, kareoke, and more. Much to my surprise though, it was just a redneck/cowboy dance club. I don't two-step or line dance and ended up leaving pretty quickly! Lesson learned. :-) I picked Haley back up Sunday night and headed home. I haven't figured out how to get all of my chores done while she's there and I hadn't mowed in 2 weeks. The yard looked bad! So I let her play on the front porch while I got the weed-eater going. Figured I'd have enough time to edge and get just the side yard done. Much to my surprise, my neighbor Mike rode over on his mower and volunteered to do the front and side yards for me! I ended up edging, weed eating, blowing the walkways clear, and having the yards mowed! All that's left now is the jungle-like back yard. Thanks for the help, Mike! All in all it was a great weekend!
