New Job! It've been almost 2 1/2 months without a job. I applied for lots and lots of jobs but the market in Conway and Little Rock is incredibly tight right now. Just as I was getting extremely discouraged, an IT staffing company contacted me about several positions. I wasn't too excited at first because I'd posted my resume on Monster.com a few weeks ago and immediately began receiving calls from headhunters all over the country wanting me to move or take some entry-level position. Then my luck changed. I ended up getting hired on for a 3 month contract at a prior employer, Alltel! I've been working for 3 days now and really like it. I am hoping they will hire me on full time or I can make enough contacts to get hired on in another department. The people I work with are really cool and helpful. Not to mention my contract company seems to be on the ball and easy to work through. I really appreciate everyone and ask that you keep me in your thoughts and prayers. This job gives me some room to breathe but I'm not out of the woods yet.
