Pumpkin Patch Pics 2007 Haley and I visited the Johnson Family Pumpkin Patch in Greenbrier, AR last weekend. It's our 2nd year in a row and it is so much fun. Just a few miles outside of Conway and you get into rural farm land. Being in the outdoors is wonderful and we love it. Could we have gone to Walmart to buy pumpkins faster and cheaper? Sure, but you miss out on all the fun of searching for the perfect one, all the neat things to do, being on the land, seeing the animals, taking a hayride... and making lots of memories.

The Pumpkin Patch stretches across acres and acres of farmland. Haley popped behind the pumpkin cutout to prove she's MY little pumpkin. There were lots of great pic opportunities, like showing how tall my little girl is getting. Almost 4 feet! So hard to believe she's growing up so fast. The farm had lots of animals like ducks, goats, donkies, horses, pigs, pigeons, chickens, and hens. We checked them all out and I caught Haley feeing this little baby goat. Aren't they both precious? I couldn't help myself and wanted to get in on the action. Whaddya think about Cowboy Jim?

They usually have a corn maze, but it didn't look so hot this year. We opted for the good ol' hayride behind what looked like a 50 year old tractor through lots of corn, fields, trees, and more. My favorite picture of Haley in a long time, see her smiling and excited the tractor was about to pull up for our turn? Sitting in the hay taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells... caught Haley smiling for the camera again. And finally... there was some random girl and her parents on the ride with us and the little girl was just too cute! I had to get a shot of Haley with her.

After picking out the two perfect pumpkins (little one for little Haley of course!), Haley and I headed back home to carve 'em up! We both practiced drawing the faces we wanted on paper first, then on the pumpkins. You see Haley her putting the finishing touches on her design. Then it was time for Daddy to cut them up! Haley didn't want to put her hands in the orange mushy goo inside, but that's part of the experience. Ha ha... after a few minutes she was really into it. Haley wiped all the dirt and shtuff off and then proudly posed by her pumpkin. Isn't Haley beautiful? Great job Haley Beth! I chose more of a scary design and posed next to both jack-o-lanterns.

We cleaned up, then dressed up for a kids Halloween party at Sharpe Dunnaway's house here in Conway. He's one of our friends introduced through our great friends, the Parkers. Here's a shot of Haley and Miss Molly, practically inseparable! The kids watched the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Ghostbusters on an outside screen Sharpe put together. As the night wore on, the kids decided to play the piano. See Haley, Austin, and Tyler rawwkin it out! Tyler took a break to pose for this picture with his Daddy, Mr. Michael. And Molly takes the obligatory shot with Sharpe (morning DJ on Magic 105fm in Little Rock).
We wrapped the weekend up with church, lunch, and playing at home. There's never enough time and we fit in as many hugs and kisses as possible. This picture of Haley pretty much sums up our state of mind after so much fun: WIPED OUT!
